Joining a tournament

On the Tournaments tab in Discover you can search and filter tournaments (All/Open/Live/Mine).

Joining

On a tournament under “Open for registration” you tap “Join”. A dialog asks “Who is entering?” — you yourself, or one of your teams (only teams that match the discipline and that you can manage) — with an optional note. “Request to join” sends the request; the organizer approves or rejects it, and the status then shows under “My tournaments”.

Note

If the field is already full and there’s a waitlist, the dialog tells you before you submit: “The field is full — you would go on the waiting list.”

Caution

If the tournament requires a verified identity and you don’t have one linked yet, a notice appears above the form telling you to link it in your profile first (see Linked accounts) — right now only Steam counts.

A public tournament that isn’t currently open for entry still shows up under “Browse public tournaments” — you can follow it, but not join. Private tournaments you’re not part of at all never appear in Discover.
